Paso Doble
Paso Doble is a passionate and dramatic dance that involves a lot of posturing. It is an interpretation of a bullfight in which the man plays the matador (the bullfighter), and the woman - his cape (cappa).
Paso Doble involves sharp, tense movements and creates a sense of tension. It is danced in 2/4 timing in the rhythm slow-slow. Paso Doble is often performed as an exhibition of the dancers’ skills and talent.
